We have had 2 pups from Katie & Andrew, our first in 2017 and our second only just recently. The effort and care that are put in to the early days of the pups is second to none from Katie & Andrew and it shows in the dogs when they leave and go to their new homes.

If there are any questions to be asked they will be there for you to answer them whenever you need them be this on day 1 or day 1000 of owning your dog.

We would highly recommend anyone who is looking at the breed to get in touch with Katie and Andrew as they are the most knowledgeable people to provide you with the information that you need. The website is a font of knowledge also and shows that they care about not only the dogs that they breed, but the breed in general.

Katy was wonderfully informative and supportive when I was choosing a suitable puppy as a companion rather than a working dog, and her knowledge of the breed is outstanding. It's reassuring that they take the genetic aspects of breeding good quality, healthy dogs very seriously. My girl has had absolutely zero health problems; she is fit, full of energy and is the most loving dog imaginable. I realise owning a Vizsla is not for everyone, but if you have the time, space and willingness to exercise and train, they are superb companions.

For many years we have wanted to welcome a Vizsla into our family. However, living in a 2nd floor apartment in Brighton was simply not realistic. So, when we moved to a house in the South Downs last summer, we knew the time was right.

I set about researching breeders and came across Gunfield via the Kennel Club Assured Breeders' scheme. I read everything on the Gunfield website and knew from the amount of detail provided that they were a breeder that loved their dogs.

So I completed an application and was invited to meet with Katy and Andy. During the meeting, Andy introduced us to all of their gorgeous dogs, and Katy asked and answered many many questions. From there we were delighted to be accepted onto the waiting list.

Then, in November 2019, we found out that we were to have a puppy. It felt like such a long wait to bring him home at 8 weeks old. However, throughout the waiting period, Katy kept us regularly updated with photos and videos; she was also quick to respond to any of our queries about how to prepare.

We've now had Beasley at home for 3 weeks and we can honestly say he's absolutely perfect. He's already a local celebrity :-)

We can't thank Katy and Andy enough. I can't think of anything else that you'd want from a breeder - they've got it all covered, and then some! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a healthy, happy, well adjusted Vizsla.

I'm onto my second puppy from Katy, the latest one is 3yrs old now. All the information given by Katy before you even get a puppy is amazing and the lifetime support is second to none. I have never come across a more committed breeder in over 40yrs as a dog owner, no matter how old your puppy gets she is always there for help and support.

I purchased Penny from Katy after being thoroughly vetted and we have now had her 2.5 years. Penny is bright, talented, personable and a stunning example of the breed. I started my search in 2012 for a breeder and found Gunfield. After meeting all their lovely dogs we waited a year for Kobi to be born. He was worth the wait as he has been the most fantastic dog we ever could have wished for. Everybody comments on how well behaved and what a gentle natured dog he is. He is also an incredibly natural working dog. The first 8 weeks of a dogs life make the most important difference and Katy is extremely knowledgeable with canine behaviour and the breed. Having become very recent proud owners of the most adorable Westie, I cannot sing the praises of Gunfield Kennel highly enough. Living in Jersey, it is no mean feat trying to source a reputable, well accredited and reliable dog breeder in the UK, but we truly feel that we fell on our feet when we came across Katie and her team. Communication and help was outstanding from the very moment we enquired about one of Gunfield’s WHW pups and once we knew we would become parents to Lottie, we received video updates of her and her brother at least weekly and often more. Katie left us in no doubt that she is incredibly experienced and that the welfare of her dogs are always top priority. The whole process was incredibly smooth and professional and the puppy pack and bags of ‘extras’ we went away with were outstanding. Our vet was extremely impressed with the comprehensive set of paperwork that Lottie came home with and particularly loved reading about the temperament testing that Katie takes time to complete and report on.

Lottie is quite the most lovely natured pup. She is confident, friendly, eager/quick to learn and is very loving. She is only 14 weeks, so we are still experiencing a bit of ‘nippiness’ but we are relaxed that as with all dogs, regardless of breed, this will pass once teething is over. She is incredibly pretty so is melting many a heart and filling up my camera roll! Her little body and big personality has sprinkled magic on our house and has made it a home.

I cannot recommend Gunfield Kennel more loudly.
