The West highland white terrier is a popular breed for families being a friendly happy dog loves the company of humans.
Westies love human company and you need to be sure that you have the time to give them the company that they desire otherwise they can be vocal and destructive.
Westies do you require training in order to make them good citizens.
As a terrier breed they also require sensible introduction to other animals.
You shouldn’t consider owning a Westie if you work fulltime unless you have somebody who is taking car of your dog for the day, it is simply not enough to pop home for an hour at lunch.
As with any breed of dog Westie needs to be taught the correct manners around children.
Westies relatively low malting but they do require regular coat care and grooming.
